p.s. i love you.

It's snowing!!!!

Yeah, so this is a lame post but I just thought I'd share my joy with you four who read my blog oh-so faithfully. It's so beautiful, I love it. Said it time and time again throughout my blogging days, that snow is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Hope it snows lots tonight and we can have snow ball fights tomorrow.

I love how you always seem to experience "la joie de vivre" whether it's raining, snowing, or sunny!

May the Lord always bless you with "la joie de vivre"!

As you might know, Dad heard your name in a sermon which referred to the Greek word "kara" meaning deep joy (hopefully a joy in the Lord) and leaned over and said if we ever have a daughter, we need to name her "Kara", that she might live her life that way.

Chara: (kara) [Greek] joy, gladness; the joy received from you; the cause or occasion of joy

Joie de vivre (from the French joie, "joy"; de, "of"; vivre, "to live, living"; "the joy of living") is a term used to express a cheerful enjoyment of life. Joie de vivre, as one scholar has written, "can be a joy of conversation, joy of eating, joy of anything one might do… And joie de vivre may be seen as a joy of everything, a comprehensive joy, a philosophy of life, a Weltanschauung. Robert's Dictionnaire says joie is sentiment exaltant ressenti par toute la conscience, that is, involves one's whole being."[1]

Proverbs 15:15
All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

Proverbs 15:30
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

We have lots of snow here! Today we went up into the hills and I became a child playing in the snow. Maybe I've always been a child. Wish you had been with me, Kara..... and we could have experienced "la joie de vivre" together!
